About:

I am a field geologist who combines structural geology, active tectonics, and tectonic geomorphology to investigate the timing, rates, and processes of crustal deformation.    My interests center around:

  • how the landscape response to fault slip and surface deformation can be used to compliment paleo-seismic and seismic records to characterize the seismic history of faults with long recurrence intervals and slow slip rates.
  • how temporal and spatial patterns of deformation can be used to interpret the dynamics of lithospheric-scale deformation
  • how outcrop-scale to micro-scale deformation can be used to investigate processes that lead to seismic slip
